Created over a few months in 1985, these diptychs were taken on Belgrave Road, London, and West 11th Street, NYC. A short series, it gave me an opportunity to experiment with unlikely pairings: a staged set piece against a busy street window reflection; a quiet residential interior alongside an empty school hall; a fleeting presence within a vacant frame; and competing light sources—the work marked a clean break from my usual process.
